WHAT IS REIKI?
A Calm Mind and Balanced Body Starts Here
Reiki is a gentle, energy-based healing practice that helps you relax, melt away stress, and restore balance — kind of like hitting the reset button for your body and mind. Rooted in Japanese tradition, this technique works by channeling energy through the practitioner’s hands, either with light touch or by hovering just above the body, to encourage your body’s natural healing response.

How can Reiki healing help you?
Reiki is all about balance — helping your mind and body work together so you can feel more at ease. Whether you’re carrying stress, struggling with sleep, or just feeling a little off, Reiki can help clear the energy that’s weighing you down.
Some of the most common reasons people turn to Reiki include:
-
Anxiety
-
Chronic pain that won’t seem to go away
-
Low energy or constant fatigue
-
Building or breaking habits
-
Headaches and lingering tension
-
Insomnia or restless sleep
-
Stress
-
Emotional blockages that feel hard to shake
Despite what we'd all love, Reiki isn’t a quick fix — it’s a practice that helps your body and mind reset, recharge, and restore balance over time. That's why we offer weekly and monthly sessions. Each session builds on the last, giving you the space to let go of what’s not serving you and welcome in a sense of calm and clarity.
What to expect in a Reiki session
Most Reiki sessions last about an hour, and how often you come is entirely up to you—whether it’s weekly, monthly, or just when you need a reset. Remote Reiki sessions work the same way, offering the same deep healing from wherever you are.
Before Your Session
We'll take a few minutes to check in with you, discuss your intentions, and answer any questions.
Settle in and Relax
You’ll lie down fully clothed on a comfortable table, close your eyes, and let yourself unwind as gentle energy work begins.
The Reiki Healing
We'll use light touch or hover our hands just above your body, letting energy flow to where it’s needed most. Many people feel warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation during this time.
After Your Session
You’ll have a moment to come back to the present, and we may share insights or self-care tips to help you maintain balance between sessions.
Whether you're here to relieve stress, reset your energy, or just carve out an hour of peace, your session is designed to meet you where you are. There’s no right or wrong way to receive Reiki—just come as you are.

How is an EMDR Intensive different from weekly therapy?EMDR Intensives are the equivalent of multiple therapy sessions over one, two, or three days. Because you can work together for longer periods at a time, your we will be able to help you uncover the root causes of your trauma faster, allowing you to feel a more immediate transformation. In fact, research shows that it is as effective, or more so, then ongoing weekly EMDR treatment. EMDR weekly therapy happens in single sessions lasting 45-55 minutes at a time. Weekly therapy is meant to be an ongoing form of therapy and can be done online or in-person. Both have been found to be effective in treating trauma.
-
How do EMDR Intensives save time?Weekly sessions have a hard start and stop. That leaves you with a limited amount of time to work together as it may take you a few minutes to get acclimated to the session before you feel ready to talk about what’s bothering you. Time lImited sessions can also feel abrupt to clients who are on the verge of a breakthrough to hit pause and wait until their next session, hindering progress. With EMDR Intensives, there is no waiting. The longer session times allow us to cover more ground in one session. Clients often feel it opens the space for deeper discovery and faster healing.

What does an EMDR Intensive look like? Before your intensive: First, we'll meet for a 20-minute consultation to make sure EMDR Intensives are right for you. If you decide to move forward we'll meet again for a 90-minute history-taking and preparation session. You’ll also receive a customized workbook to help you prepare for the intensive. We do all this up-front so that on the day of your Intensive we can use our entire session to work on your goals. I currently offer a variety of ways to schedule your session: Half-Day Sessions: Each half-day intensive includes 3 hours of therapy (9 AM - 12 PM or 2-5 PM) Full-Day Intensive: Full-day Intensives last 5 hours, from 9 - 3:30 PM. We can book one, two, or three consecutive days of therapy for faster results. After your session: I never throw you back into real life alone. I’ll check in via email two and four weeks after your intensive to ensure you’re doing well and staying on track. If you think you'd benefit from more healing, massage therapy, or reiki, we can schedule that for you. Not sure how many days you’ll need? You don't have to decide now. Once I get to know you I’ll be able to recommend the optimal number of sessions. You can decide if you want consecutive sessions or to space them out into half-day sessions. If you're ready to book your initial consultation, you can do that here.

What if I already have a therapist? That is wonderful! Our work together doesn't discount any of the work you've been doing with your therapist. Many therapists trust their clients with me because they know the healing power of EMDR. Whether you're in general therapy or you're seeing an EMDR therapist, our EMDR Intensive works alongside your therapy to help you process blocks or traumatic memories faster. It's a way to feel rapid relief for those who are doing the work but still feel "stuck" or like something is holding you back. If you're comfortable with giving me permission to speak to your therapist ahead of your Intensive, I can! I'm a therapist too, and know how important it is for my clients to feel like they're on the right path towards healing. We'll get up-to-speed and ensure our work together is designed to compliment your current treatment plan.

How much does it cost? Our EMDR Intensive experiences are designed to provide not just deep healing, but a carefully tailored journey. Each package includes a comprehensive history session, a personalized workbook crafted specifically for you, and either a half day or whole-day sessions for one, two, three, and four days at a time. Once we determine the best treatment plan for you, I can give you a better idea of what the investment looks like. Here's a glimpse of what what the cost may look like: 90-Minute History & Planning Session: $500 This includes a detailed, customized workbook and any prep coordination needed with your care team. Half-Day Intensive (3 hours): $900 A great option for diving deep into your healing without committing to a full day. Full-Day Intensive (6 hours): $1,650 For those ready to spend an immersive day focusing on their mental health and progress. 90-Minute Follow-Up Session: $300 Keep the momentum going with a follow-up to your intensive, tailored to your needs. Ongoing Intensives: $250 per hour (minimum 2-hour block) Perfect for continued EMDR support to maintain progress. Please note, meals and additional wellness services (like Reiki or massage therapy) aren’t included, but we’re happy to add these on for you to give you an extra boost of relaxation and self-care while you're here.
-
Can I use my insurance?EMDR Intensives are not covered by insurance, though you are able to use HSA funds to cover part or all of the cost. The benefit of EMDR Intensives is that you get more therapy for less than the price of ongoing sessions, and in a shorter time period. This allows you to feel better, sooner.
-
How long does EMDR therapy take?EMDR Intensive sessions can range from 2-3 hours in an afternoon to 5 hours a day over the course of one, two, or three days. Sessions can be spread out over several weeks or conducted on consecutive days. For those coming to us for the first time, we strongly recommend doing consecutive days so you can get relief from your biggest struggle. The length of treatment varies based on the type of trauma you’re dealing with, your current symptoms, and tolerance for processing through difficult emotions. Treatment times can also be based on your availability. It’s normal to feel some immediate healing after the first session. While there is no way to know how fast or slow a client’s progress will be, we aim for you to feel relief after each session. We find clients who choose to do longer intensives over two to three days see the most improvement.
