Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is one of the earliest techniques that people used to relieve pain. It is considered a part of integrative medicine that helps to reduce stress, lessen pain and muscle tension, increase relaxation, and improve immune function. In a massage, a trained, certified medical professional (Licensed Massage Therapist) will use different pressures, movements, and techniques to manipulate muscles and other soft tissues in your body to help address any areas of concern that you may have and to help restore a sense of wellbeing.

How Massage Can Help You

Typical issues that massage can help with, but not
limited to:

     Stress reduction
     Muscle soreness
      Chronic pain
      Tension
      Athletic injuries
      Sleep disturbances related to menopause

What to Expect in Sessions

Before your appointment, your massage therapist will speak with you about any areas of concern you have that you may want addressed during your session. They will then excuse themselves from the room while you can undress to your personal point of comfort (some people prefer to be fully naked, and others prefer to wear varying amounts of clothing). The massage therapist will knock on the door a short time later to ensure that you are comfortable and have been able to lie down on the massage table. Once you are ready, they will begin the session. Throughout the session, your massage therapist will check with you to make sure the pressure is okay and that you remain comfortable.
